Blockader is a 2D arena shooter built around survival. Enemies keep entering the ring while a Sniper attacks from outside. Your gun handles the shooting automatically, so your job is to stay alive, move out of danger, and make good upgrade choices between waves.
Use WASD or the Arrow Keys to move around the ring. There is no manual aiming. Your character automatically fires at nearby enemies, letting you focus on movement.
The main danger comes from two sides. Melee enemies try to reach you inside the ring, while the Sniper fires from outside. Touching an enemy or getting hit by sniper fire costs a life. Lose all your lives and the run is over.
The longer you survive, the more crowded the arena gets. Keep an eye on where you can move next rather than waiting until an enemy is already beside you. Finding a clear part of the ring can make a big difference when several enemies close in at once.
Clearing waves earns stars and gives you upgrade cards. There are more than 100 cards, split into four rarities, with different effects. You can also spend stars on gear and the skill tree. These choices cover offense, defense, and utility, so there are different ways to build your character. It is worth checking the available options before picking one instead of choosing the first upgrade you see.
There are six playable characters: Lucky, Byte, Spark, Orbit, Sludge, and Spike. Lucky is available from the beginning, while the others offer different playstyles.
The enemy side includes eight danger tiers of melee enemies. The Sniper stays outside the ring and adds ranged attacks to the fight, making it harder to stand still or follow the same movement pattern for too long.
Blockader keeps the controls simple, but surviving is another matter. Since the character shoots automatically, movement becomes the part that needs the most attention. One bad turn can put you between several enemies or directly in the path of a sniper shot.
Upgrades give each run a little more direction. A useful card or gear choice can change how you handle the next few waves, while the skill tree gives you longer-term options to work toward.
The difficulty comes from staying alive as the arena fills up, not from complicated controls. The leaderboard also gives experienced players another reason to push their runs further.
