Dino Dash 3D puts the familiar T-Rex into a colorful desert instead of the usual simple browser setting. The dinosaur keeps running while cacti, gaps, rocks, scorpions, and flying creatures appear along the route. Your score is based on how far you manage to get before hitting an obstacle. As the run continues, the pace increases and there is less time to react.
The T-Rex runs automatically, so movement is limited to two actions.
Use a jump for cacti and gaps on the ground. Flying obstacles require a different response, so duck instead of jumping into them.
A collision ends the current run. There are no complicated combinations to remember, which puts most of the challenge on recognizing the next obstacle quickly.
Don't wait until the T-Rex is directly beside an obstacle before reacting. Looking slightly ahead gives you more time to decide whether the next move should be a jump or a duck. Low cacti usually don't require a huge jump. For larger gaps, give yourself enough height to clear the other side. When several obstacles appear close together, focus on the first one and immediately prepare for whatever follows it.
The increasing speed is what makes later sections difficult. A movement that feels easy at the beginning can require much faster timing after you've been running for a while.
The course uses a bright desert environment with changing lighting and details such as blowing sand. Pterodactyls and other obstacles add some variety to the otherwise straightforward route. The game is available to play directly in the browser through the platform, with the playable version checked periodically for browser compatibility.
There is no complicated progression to learn. Start another run, react a little earlier, and try to beat your previous distance.
For another obstacle-based challenge, Flipping Master focuses on movement and timing, while Super Mario Bros offers traditional platforming with jumps, enemies, and level-based stages.
